Welcome to the Utah Business Travel Association web site! UBTA was founded in 2001 and is an official chapter of the National Business Travel Association. UBTA is the premier professional trade organization in Utah focused on perfecting the science of business travel management and providing a forum for the exchange of ideas between managers of corporate travel, travel industry suppliers, and regulatory agencies. UBTA is committed to enhancing the travel profession by sponsoring educational and informational programs for its members, and by providing top-rated speakers to address travel-related issues, concerns and current "hot topics".

Delta Air Lines, Inc.
Bob Somers is the Director of Corporate Sales for Delta Air Lines at its World Headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. He is responsible for leading the North American Corporate Sales force focused on maximizing corporate premium revenue and share performance.
Joining Delta in 1983, Mr. Somers has held various positions of increasing responsibility in the Sales and Marketing Division at Delta. Most recently as General Manager – Global Corporate Accounts responsible for Delta’s relationship with the largest Global customers, representing over $1 billion in Delta revenue.
His background experience for Delta includes Corporate National Account Manager, Atlanta area Sales Manager and Sales Account Executive. He has also worked in Airport Customer Service in Atlanta, was a Sales Promotion Representative, an Advertising Representative and a Coordinator of Creative Services.
He has been a long standing member of several industry organizations including ACTE, IBTM and NBTA where he served on NBTA’s Aviation Committee.
A graduate of Georgia Southern University, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in both Marketing and Public Relations. Married with one child, Mr. Somers resides in the Atlanta area.

NBTA Evaluates the "State of the U.S. Business Travel Union"
The National Business Travel Association (NBTA) published its Business Travel Government Affairs Report Card today. As the nation awaits President Bush’s State of the Union address, the NBTA report card looks at the state of the most important business travel issues facing the U.S. government. The overall grade earned by the performance of Congress and the Administration in 2007 is a C+.
